Watch the segment that got Ross Cameron sacked from Sky News Australia

If you are truly concerned about the anti-Chinese racism that is being fanned in Australia, intended to make people susceptible to the disinformation campaign of intelligence agencies and their media machine to demonise China as a threat to world peace, you should be outraged at the firing of Ross Cameron from Sky News. Sky News has removed all traces of this 30 October episode, claiming it was anti-Chinese racism. I'm sharing this because the opposite is true. Whatever you think of Ross Cameron, whose extreme neoliberal views I disagree with, one thing he definitely isn't is anti-Chinese. In fact, he was the most pro-China voice in the Australian media; arguably the only pro-China voice. This segment is a spirited defence of China - the only attack he made was on Western intelligence agencies. The supposed "racism" in this segment is in fact clumsy satire of "yellow peril" prejudice. Moreover, he was aware he was talking to an audience who are largely anti-Chinese thanks to media propaganda, and would disagree with him. His comments are so pro-Chinese that his co-host even accused him of sounding like a "PR firm" for China. All I can conclude is that this was not about condemning anti-Chinese racism, but silencing the only pro-China commentator on Australian TV. I would go so far as to say that if he had been sacked for anything else I would understand it, but not this.
